Davidbek Games is a competition-festival organized by a non-governmental organization of the same name. The event brings together patriotic organizations from Armenia and educational institutions that value military-patriotic education.

Through the Davidbek Games competition festival project, we have set several goals:

• Firstly, the Davidbek Games encourage young people to prepare themselves as defenders of the motherland.
• The competition-festival provide a great opportunity for different teams to collaborate, share experiences, and make friends.
• Lastly, the competition-festival offer a wonderful opportunity for participants from different teams in Armenia to express their patriotism.

The first Davidbek Games were held in the summer of 2022 at the Baghaberd camp in the Kapan community. The enthusiastic participation of all attendees and partners confirmed our belief that the games should be an annual event.

In 2022, 8 teams participated in the games: VOMA Kapan, VOMA Vanadzor, VOMA Goris, ZARK Chghjik, ZARK Hovaz, ZARK DOK, POGA, Mkhitar Sebastasi Educational Complex.

The Davidbek Games were originally created with the idea that defenders of the homeland should be multi-faceted. According to this philosophy, the competitions have different directions: strength and tactical training, knowledge of cultural and spiritual life, intellectual and strategic thinking.

From the beginning, we were fortunate to have the support of reliable partners, among whom we would like to specifically mention the Amrots National Development Foundation. They generously financed the organization of the Davitbek Games 2022. Additionally, we are grateful to the Kapan Municipality for providing free sports and cultural facilities under its jurisdiction.

The 2023 Davidbek Games Competition-Festival is planned to be held on July 24-30 at the Achanan camp in the Kapan community, where our partners are currently creating the necessary camp infrastructure.

The 8 competitions that will be held during the Competition-Festival have already been selected.

They are:

• Overcoming the obstacle zone to test physical fitness.Overcoming the obstacle zone to test tactical
• and shooting skills.
• A trek during which the survival skills and knowledge of the participants will be tested.
• Control of the drone simulator.
• Chess
• National Dance
• Patriotism Quiz
• A quiz on the spiritual understanding of history.

We want to note with great joy that this year the Amrots Foundation will not only finance half of the expenses, but is also a co-organizer of the games.

Together with the Foundation, we came to the decision that the second half of the costs of organizing the Competition Festival should be financed by a wide range of partners. This will make the games more popular on the one hand, and more institutional and stable on the other.
